i am unable to open my gas tanks through either method, inside the car the switch doesnt work, and in the trunk the string is pulled all of the way out....what can i do im running out of gas on the car...lol

I am assuming that you have tried this after some heavy snow, as I had the same experience. After you pull the string from the trunk, try plying the gas door open with something flat. The hinge of the door must be frozen.

Pour some warm water over the tank door area, this should unfreeze the hinge, if that is the problem.

Camshaft

Sometimes the release piston might stick. Take a soft thin rag and put it over the point of a flat head screwdriver. Have someone pop the release and pop the door open. Lubricate generously on the piston and the hinges. Have them pop the release again to make sure the release is working.

I have gas cap problems, when I use the switch inside all that happens is it makes noise but doesnt pop the cap open, I have to use that string in the trunk and pry the cap open a lil bit to open it up.

it happened to me before...and i kicked it! i wouldnt do that again now that i love the car. but try pushing it in a little while someone pulls the tank release on the inside, it worked for me...if not kick it!
