Default New Memmber

Hey everyone i just purchased myself a black 93 sc-400 and man i cant wait till i get it registered i reside in Queens NY, i used to own a 95 legend coupe and that compare doesnt come close to the power, agility , and looks of the SC, i tried searchin but couldnt find anything on Lexus recalls, if anyone can help me out i will greatly appreciate it, and if anyone resides in the tri-state area let me know, also another thing ,
When im putting in windshield fluid it leaks, and runs off on the drivers end of the bumper, my nozzles dont work either, can it be the motor or is it just clogged , not to mention my sunroof doesnt work either. Do the sunroof motors tend to die out on these cars?
Thanks in advance

Welcome LEXO-400,

Windshield fluid leak may be a broken reservoir.

Sunroof problem is rare, check fuses. Some have noticed a minor issue with leaking seals...but rarely the motors.

For other members in NY-Tri State. There are quite a few.

Again, congratulations and welcome.

Welcome Lexo! There are a bunch of Tri-state area members on the boards. Just check the past car meet galleries or the locals forum for a small sample of the members from your area. As far as Lexus recalls on our model, none. Your car troubles are very unusual, but sound like cheap fixes. Let us know how they turn out.

PS: Lexus of Manhattan has 15% off parts and labor for all CL members .

My washer nozzles ended up being clogged, i replaced the trunk mats the one that leans against the fuel tank and the one on the bottom both for 40$, i placed a full size spare in the trunk also for 40$, i bought also the wheel lining for the passenger wheel well. Now i have to fix my antenna, find out whats wrong with my sunroof, figure out why my tcs is off, and finally figure out how the hell my alarm works. And then i can get to work on cleaning the interior up and by the way lets thank lexus for giving us the herendous 2 tones. Tan and shi*brown excuse my french

Hey Lexo;

Welcome to the CL. My name is Dennis and I'm in the Tri-State area also. I reside in Brooklyn, NY but I'm mostly in Queens because most of my friends are from around here. There are many CL members that are around the NYC area. I'm sure you'll get to know some of them if you spend time on the CL.

I suggest you come to one of out many meetings we hold every season. Check the Clubmeeting Section of CL for further details and updates on CL meetings. Once you come you'll never go back.

Before you go to any dealership you can always check the Junkyard at Shea Stadium if you need anything. It will save you the stress on your wallet.
