Trade my SC400?

jeeps have been banned from a lot of the big African safari companies, due to their constant breakdowns.
My friend had one, like 70 000kms, drove real nice and I thought it was great, then he had an engine failure, and sold it for peanuts.
Ive never understood trades anyways, if you want a new vehicle fix yours up a bit, sell it, and then get what you want.

I own both cars mentioned (SC is my DD, I let my gf drive the jeep)
Jeep is an 01 Grand Cherokee Limited 155,xxx miles
My SC400 is 93 202,xxx (bought from original owner)
Have you taken the Jeep on a test drive? If not, do it. Take it to the most rigged road you know and see how the Jeep takes them at 30-40mph. Some have the dreaded death wobble and its a real PITA. Could take a lot of suspension work to fix it too.
Also, expect a decent amount of small and annoying problems. For example my Jeep's Climate control and turn signals have completely went out (Climate control was a fuse, turn signals were a relay) I've put some suspension work into the Jeep, a couple tires, upper rad hose, oil changes, PS flush. I've kept up with it and it has been good to us overall.
I love the jeep, don't get me wrong. The interior is amazing, so comfortable and spacious. The 4.0 is nearly indestructible, (but so is the 1uz)
MPG overall is about the same. I'm usually between 15-20 depending on my commute and foot.
As far as reliability, I think both are great. However in the long run the jeep will nickel and dime you as long as you keep it (trust me) , while the Lexus is bulletproof and low maintenance.
Personally, given I have both, I'd keep the SC over the Jeep. But then again I'm always partial towards my Japanese RWD cars
If you have any other questions/want any more insight feel free to pm me or respond

lot of bias in this thread and jeep haters!
jeeps are pretty reliable and as for them starting to go out at 150k, theyre just getting broken in with the 4.0. id stay away from the v8 model. My ex had a gc right up to 200k miles when she traded it in on a camry. I have a cherokee and theyre great for winter (i cant imagine driving the sc in a snow storm. no thanks)
that being said, check out craigslist for what both cars are going for. you might be better off waiting till a nicer jeep comes along with less problems. I'm not a fan of electrical gremlins, and jeeps arent really that much money.
