Default trying to find a new trunk strut

im trying to find a new strut for my trunk. ive looked through parts.com but they seem to have everything but the strut and every other site that ive seen si basically the same thing. help!

They sell for ~35$ at auto parts stores. Just check around. If you can't find one, let me know. I think I know someone with a spare unopened one.

People on this forum have suggested rockauto. Do a search and you will find the part number here.

I bought mine in Autozone for $20... it was called something like trunk lift support strut.

are these parts that you buy from autozone unversial? will they fit the SC with out any mod?

You have to tell them what model and year it is.... and also with spoiler or without... and they're going to look it for you. I doubt these things are universal.

I recently ordered two from Carparts.com specific to the sc400 w/spoiler. Delivered with one of their promo codes for about $25 each. I recall the brand sold was Gabriel.

save yourself the pain and replace both of them at the same time... If you do not have a spolier, get the one for spoiler anyways, it will last you longer, the difference is that it's just stronger to lift the extra weight of the wing...
