Din,

From what I remember, the older bumpers have a slightly different shape where it meets the lights. This causes the light to shift up and out. Hence, people have trouble lining up the holes. Therefore, with you having the 97 lights 97 bumper, you did not have this challenge. Does that sound right? Correct me if I am wrong. It will help everyone.

ACtully before I took off my 95 bumper off I tried the lights on and they fit fine with just a little push here and there.

GREAT NEWS!!! I solved the problem of the tail light failure signal and the fast @$$ blinking!! First I tried hooking up some small radio shack LED's, but the voltage wasn't enough. Then I cut the lights off the 92 lights I replaced, two of them actually... and suck the wires into the turn signal holes on the electrical hook up for the taillights in the trunk. And bingo, everything was normal on that side. So, attaching 4 bulbs, 2 two each side will solve the fast blinking and failure sensor prob. However, before anyone begins soldiering anything to their lights, I'm going to try puttin a resistor in and see if that does anything. Hopefully that'll work, it'll be easier, but we'll see, I'll put up a seperate post if it works.

sxylxy,

If it would help, this is documented somewhere.

Sorry I don't have the link.

I think the custom 95-96 lights look good. I dont know why but the 92-94 lights are growing on me.

Default the resistors

I tried the resistor thing and eventually gave up due to the wattage that would be required in order to work ...I even added a heat sink to dissipate some of the heat but still too hot ..its been about a year since I tried it last so I can't remember all the details but I still have some of the resistors left over that I had bought for the failed project
