sure ..I totally agree w/you...
I like chrome better. (mine are actually platinum plated finish).
But..I'm just saying...watch how that trend will change w/the times. 5 years from now we could all be saying "chrome belongs on caddies"
case close?
hehe

It is amazing how much ppl will follow what a rapper or a celebrity does with their cars. You re right the trend will dictate what is classy in most cases. But some looks are always classy and never get old. I'm sure a lot of ppl say to themselves, "what was I thinking?" regarding certain things they used to do to their cars or used to wear as clothing..take baseball caps, a lot of ppl wear them with the bill straight now because some rapper does, but the curved(or bent) bill will never go out of style. On that note, never I put on MTV that I see a rap video without an expensive convertible or a few and platinum being flashed around. Naturally, ppl follow..

How does one differentiate a "platinum" badge from one that has the standard chrome? And since it seems like most cars, from lowly domestics, to pricy European imports have chrome emblems, I doubt chrome badging will go out of style.

Are the platinum badges the black ones? I like the looks of those ones. I dont know about on a white car. But on most other colors they look nice.
Did the sc series ever come with the black badges?
