Im using a Planted Seat Bracket for a MK4 on my SC. Has several mounting options for base and side mount, excellent construction and a very solid bracket.

For a side mount seat, that is dependent on the brackets for the seat. If its a bottom mount seat, then no. As for better than Sparco, not sure, but after having this in my car, I personally wouldnt look at another brand. And Im almost certain the Planted bracket is going to be cheaper than the Sparco.

planted seat or wedge engineering?

long ago, I had these little custom brackets made. they are decent and work, but I'd rather get full brackets.

it looks like it has sliders already.. so any suggestions? planted seems like it is $140. sparco says it's under $100. not sure wedge (as to they have different seats- and I'm not sure what these TRD seats would be considered)..

I used the rails and brackets from my stock seats for my JICs.

Saved me some serious money in the end.

Nice thing I see with the Wedge brackets, is it has the option for sliders, the Planted brackets do not. My Corbeau seat is on a universal slider from Jegs.

Im not sure what my trd seats would be considered as? Sparco?
Do the planted brackets let you sit up higher or a bit lower?

Im sitting about stock seat height. If I take the slider out however, I cant see over the top of the dash. If time permits today, Ill measure from the flooboard to the top of the seat bracket.

So the planted would work with any and all aftermarket seats with rails already?

It has several mounting point options for the "big" brand companies, so it should work no problem. And I was wrong, if I remove my slider, Im just above eye-level of the dash. I didnt get a chance to measure it today, but I will tomorrow.

Its ok u dont have to measure the height I was just curious about general.. as long as its near stock is ok.. csn u look at my first pic and tell me if u think theyll work w the slider bolts where they are? There are 2 bolts per corner as u can see..

Planted is $140 per bracket.
Wedge is about $100 and will take 7 days
