sheepskin seat cover anyone?
I visited Costco today and found the sheepskin seat coat with $30. I know many of you would be against to this kind of seat cover on our SCs but does anyone use this kind of seat cover to our 10yr leather seats? Any positive opinions (other than just get new seats or use leather repair kit). I never had sheepskin seat cover on any other cars but it felt so nice and soft.

dont touch it!! do not get tempted by the 'dark side' !! temptation is strong but let the force guide you wisely my dear apprentice..
btw, sorry to break this to you Taka but, pcmw is your father
sorry but stayed up too late doing hwk.. lets try to organize another group buy for leather cover replacements, last one went cool and in the pics for the installation, it looked pretty easy to do, and you can even get it in perforated leather like the newer models!

I had sheeps in my old Alfa Romeo - I was broke and the seats were shredded, so that was the best I could do - I wouldn't want them in my SC, headroom is minimal for big ol' me anyway, I don't need to sit even a mm higher, plus my leather is pristine

Costco sheepskin sucks...
I sell REAL sheepskin seatcovers in my other job and they are nothing like the cheap Costco ones. Lets say you get what you pay for.
Here's some info on sheepskins you should know:
Avoid "mosaic" style skins - these are the ones that use small pieces of skin and sew them all together. These will fade differently and fall apart a lot easier because of all the seams that can loosen up over time.
New Zealand sheepskin is the best you can get. These are usually used only for tailormade seat covers.
Anything readymade is usually the universal "SuperFit" one size fit all kind of thing. There are however, some nice Australian readymade ones. These are solid sheepskin on the front and the back of the skin.
Be sure to get something that's solid sheepskin because they will last you longer. The universal skins have real skin on the top but fake stuff on the back.
Well, if anyone has any questions about sheepskin...PM me or email me

do-luck sc,
I wouldn't mind seeing another group buy on those kits, however, we will have to follow the rules this time. The mods might have a ban-arama. I think it wouldn't be hard to accomplish as soon as 3-4 members are ready to do this, PM me. I will talk to the powers to be and get it setup.

This is a group buy I'd be interested in too, depending heavily on price, because I'm strapped for cash at the moment, but on the other hand I'm very irritated with my old, crusty leather.

If you guys want a group buy on these, I can take pictures of everything.
Do-Luck knows what I'm talking about. He's seen me at work...
The thing with the SC seats is that we have that huge plastic trim around the bottom. If you guys know how to pop that piece off, strap the skins in, and put it back on...the seats would look great!
I'll put one on my car and show you guys if you want.
The thing with the airbag deploying is why we have them cut out. Most of the time they are on the sides of the seat and the skins can be altered for airbag seats no problem. Why can't they all make them like the Bimmers & Benz and put them in the doors...
