Will our cars ever become valuable as "classics?"

Who thinks the SC will be a "classic" in 30+ years?
I've been thinking about the SC, and how it was one of the first cars designed with 3D modeling, and how it heavily influenced the styling of many other cars out there on the road today. Part of me thinks (mainly because it's Japanese) these cars will never be worth anything again . But the other part thinks that an SC is worth maintaining (and for some of us restoring haha) because maybe in 30 years, (when I'm about to turn 50 ) they will turn out to be the next 69 Camaro. Or maybe I'm just trying to find an excuse to keep this car in my family (It was bought by my Grandfather less than a year after my Birthday ) So that one day, if I have a kid, he can continue the classic car tradition in my family and pull up to school in his badass 92 SC400 (my grandfather drove a 57 chevy and my little toy is a built 409sb 78 Camaro). Whichever way it is, I'm wondering what everyone in CL thinks about this.

im not sure about a classic. The thing about the SC is that it has this timeless design to it, and if you look at a classic now, they all have that Classic Look. As far as i am concerned, our cars can be 50 years old, but the design of the sc will still look very acceptable as a newer design (As long as we dont have flying cars by then)
some people that know nothing about cars gets this surprise when i tell them my car is 12 years old...

Pretty sure it wont be a classic, but a nice clean example of one will keep a good value. Rest assured if I see one creepin' down the block in 40 years I'll be telling everyone about it.

I love mine as we all do on hear but, I don't think that they will reach that status. The Supra tends to over shadow our cars. However as more and more of these cars are off the street every year the prices could go back up as they become collectors items. Just my two cents....
To me they are classic!!

All in the eye of the beholder... I put IDK Buttttt:
Does a Mustang fan think a 60's Nissan Skyline is a "classic"?
Probably not... So just ponder that, smoke some weed and think long term. lol
Soarer/SC's have their place in history above a 240SX once all is said and done.
It's chassis was the basis for the Supra, it's body was revolutionary and very luxurious when it came out. It's styling has stood the test of time thus far "when done right" so I say sure! Wait it out, and the values will rise. Unless gas is changed to electric.

I definitely think that the "SC" will reach classic status, in due time. Especially, as the numbers begin to dwindle. I plan on keeping this "bad boy" until the wheels fall off.
Nevertheless, this is a very special automobile...i truly feel honored to own such a timeless beauty.[IMG][/IMG]
