bhang , did you ever try the flasher unit from Superbright LED's ?

Kingphillip, I assume your flasher from SBLED's worked just fine plug-n-play without modifications ?

I still have to replace my a/c unit bulbs (necessary), but since I classify an LED swapout as "fun" but not necessary, I'd rather not have to fiddle with diodes, etc on the actual flasher unit...

The digital flasher is the modification. LOL I've been running those for 3 years now with no problems. I've even switched it to a different SC by now.

I ended buying an equivalent model LED flasher from the local autoparts store but it didn't work properly. Hopefully oldManTan has better luck with his SB flasher.

Ok so I installed the LEDs and of course they're hyper. Now when I looked for a flasher on sbls site, I did the vehicle matching and came up with a different flasher than what kingphillip showed me. So King what year is your sc because maybe the flasher changed? I'm in a 92 btw. Still haven't taken the original out, it's such a *****.

The SC400 I first used it in was a 95, the flasher unit is now in a 96 SC300. Just make sure it is completely equivalent with the numbers/letters written on the terminals of the flasher and that the terminals is a perfect match and you'll be fine. The first time taking out the flasher is really a pain, but just keep tugging on it and it slowly breaks free and eventually will. Try not to use tools, 'cause I remember when I did that the cover of the flasher came off and everything inside was exposed which made it harder to get a grip off 'cause the cover became loose.

Omg this thing is impossible... I've Ben trying to get it out for the past half hour with no luck. What's the best position to be in? I'm laying down inside the car by the pedals. I also tried reaching around with my right hand. Man this is the worst placement for a flasher lol

Whenever I'm dealing with parts in the foot panel area, I just set the seat all the way back and contortion my way into lying down on the floor. LOL It might help removing some of the other relay's in the area to gain more space.

Be sure to push the plastic tab holding the flasher away from the flasher or you'll be fighting that plus the resistance of the 5 flasher pins.

i've been pulling on the orange relay, thought that was the flasher? i had the hazards on to check which one was the flasher and it seemed like the sound was coming out of that one. so its behind the orange relay?
