found this surfing the net... pretty cool
quoted from the site: "The Blast Racing '93 Lexus SC400 with Tatatoshi Wakita at the controls set a new IDRC import world record with a 7.38 at 184 mph. The Toyo Tires Pro Class competitor's powerplant is a tubocharged V9 with EFI (below)."

That was on the cover of Import Racer a few months ago. It was titled "The World's Fastest Lexus" or something along those lines
. I think it's very cool that the SC also has a presence in the racing world. The SC is just an all-around GREAT car! haha

Ya I bought the magazine and posted the article a long time ago. It doesn't use the 1uz-fe engine anymore, they took a 4.7 2uz-fe (Tundra) and bored it to ... hmm? 5L? something like that, then they supercharged or turbod it, I think supercharged. Pretty nutz car, although like what everyone said, it sort of isn't a SC anymore. Hehe, oh well looks like it.

Area 51 sold their drag 'body'... just the shell on ebay, so the drag SC is gone for sure. Who knows what they will do... who knows if the Supercharger will ever come out from them.

Hey
I have seen this car run in real life, i was at the same event when it ran the 7.3 ( it was pitted behind the skyline powered HKS 180SX) and i was standing next to it when they were tuning it. They started it up and were revving it to do some tunning and a couple times they took it way in there and fire was shooting out the exhuast them me tell ya fellas it is possibly the best thing i have ever heard! you could HEAR the HP! it shook the ground and you could feel it in your chest.
and yes they did convert it to the iron block because it lasts longer, same thing with the Scranton Bros Celica.
