amazing condition! more details on the maintenance? 6th or 7th timing belt? rebuilt engine? original paint? looks like you've owned it for more than a decade?
First timing belt at 60K. Second timing belt at 273K. The belt that came off at 273K had no obvious wear cracking, smooth spots or anything else. It looked nearly as new as the new Toyota belt that went back on. Based on that, I probably would never change the belt again especially given that this engine is non interference so the worst that could happen is it might strand you.....or cause an accident if it breaks when you're starting to accelerate a left turn in front of oncoming traffic
Oil changes every 5 to 10K miles. In recent years mostly 10K miles because they were all freeway and the oil was still very light even at 10K changes. Always used OEM filters.
Oil has been wal-mart supertec for about the last 200K miles. $12 for a 5 qt jug.
Fir the first 150K miles or so, we did a full trans flush every 30K. But after that, I just went to drain and fill on every oil change using a marine pump. Most people change their engine oil too much and ignore their transmission fluid for too long.
Why in God's name would you let a car that clean go? That is a damn clean SC at 330k miles. That should get some kind of reward or something.
We had 4 cars and although my 8 car garage wasn't exactly full, with the lawn tractor and other tools and cabinets, it was starting to get a little tight.
I'm not even half of where you are in mileage and my car fell apart on me. Best of luck in the future. I assume you needed something newer, larger, more practical, etc?
No just too many cars. We bought an SC430 last year with 11K miles on it.
