I can't let my steering wheel down. It stays up all the time. I hate driving this way I feel like a grandma. when i try to bring it down. It just has a grindin noise. I brought it to see what was wrong. THe man said it was the gears that werte broke adn it will be about $500 or $600 because I have to buy a whole new steering column. Is there anyway I could just manually bring it down or a cheaper way to get by. Thanks

do a search for "tilt steering repair" and you'll find a repair that cost me about 1.00 and about an hours worth of time and still works perfectly
