Default no license plate lights...

Hey all,

So I had my cooling system flushed at Lexus today and they pointed out I don't have any license plate lights, I also noticed after checking I don't have my park lights either, both the ones on the JIC bumper (front and side) and the ones next to the projectors. I still have headlights, brake lights, turns, reverse and interior lights. I found a burnt diode on the junction block in the car, I'm curious if it is the culprit. I have a 92SC4 and the original "turn lights" are now just driving lights, any leads would be much appreciated.

Problem solved.
The diode that controls the drive and corner lights was fried, and the plug to the license plate lights was unplugged, somehow..

Some owners unplug the license plate lights. More stealth at night I guess.

how do you plug the license plate lights back in without taking the bumper off? i replaced mine with LEDs but they still don't work.

I had to hook up my lights. It was no big deal. You don't have to remove the bumper. You access the connector from inside the trunk. Pull the trunk liner out of the way and look in there. I think. Don't remember for sure. I also had the passenger side tail light assembly removed at the same time. Maybe I accessed the license plate connector from there. (I don't think so) Sorry about the vague info. But you don't need to remove the bumper.
