finally, i had a chance to go out and take a pic of my screen. i opted to move the head unit to the glovebox and run a remote eye so i could control it from the drivers side. My screen is a 6 inch and has a leather surround, but i have taken it out so many times i have warped the leather and the seams aren't perfect anymore, so forgive the pic. Just an idea of other options for the dash here. i hope to build a new abs frame for it sometime next week.

the porcupine feels good.

since the leather seats are so expensive, i covered them with aftermarket leather covers to protect them.

onelasttry,

That looks bad.... The screen is nice thou...

Leather seat replacement covers are only ~$500, but the porcupine steering wheel cover is just bad......

Screen looks great, thats a good idea instead of trying to install a deck below... removing the ashtray. I still think it would be better in the ashtray area, dunno how hard it would be though.

PCMW I like your sig pic haha

there are plugs behind the ashtray area that cant be moved, plus the airbag control box is there also. there is also a slope angle to overcome.

Strange, but the wheels on my SC's both look like new, they seem to be very durable, all I do is wash my hands before driving the car, dunno, but if that makes the difference then hey....

It's not hard (or expensive) to hook up a band expander that will allow it to pick up local stations, or is there some reason why this unit can't?

Can we jam any of the Lexus Nav or Mark Levinson units into the SCs?

Just go with an Alpine NVE-N852A Nav, you'll be very happy, mw i'm sure he didn't mean jam literally, but more as an expression. The wiring would definitely make you lose a little hair, but it would be a nice accomplishment and would definitely earn respect, from me at least ...

Hey, update for all you audiophiles, Alpine will be discontinuing it's VPE-V180A VCR, four head, remote, on screen programming, and it records, unlike the other guys, never have to miss boxing after dark again . I just ordered one, you guys should talk to your local stereo shops, as Alpine has dropped the price (unless the shop is absorbing it as additional profit of course), if any of you are here in NY, I can send you to my man, he'll take care of you...
