I don't know what DRL stands for, but I guess it is the function that when you shift to drive, the door automatically locks.

thanks for the reply.

That's an option in the C-BEST, Customizable-Body Electronics System, that allows preferences for locking/unlocking, headlamp on/off delay, keyless entry beep volume, etc, to be customized. There's a master list of the options posted over in the Maintenance forum, I believe.

My 93' has Daytime running lights, you have to have them in Canada... after a certain year or else your car is not road legal.

If I ever decided to bring a SC up from the states or any car for that matter I have to make sure I put in daytime runnings and some other stuff as well.

Ya we are , I actually really like having Daytime Running Lights, you are a lot more visible during the daytime, the only downside is if you are really ballsy and want to outrun a cop, then you can't really! Since they will see your lights on from miles away.

Oh don't get me wrong, it is probably harder to outrun them here since we don't really have freeways like you guys do, but think of how imposible it would be if they could just see your lights on... they could spot you a mile away.

A good way to find out the options of past SC's (and other Lexus' for that matter) is to go to the lexus website, click the certified pre-owned link at the top, and then click model library. It will list all the vehicles back to 1997 and give you all the info about them. It's very helpful

Here is a direct link to the model library
