i have seen a car's engine harness catch on fire cause it wasn't shielded from the down pipe. is there a good looking heat resistant wrap?

Just use regular wire loom and some self vulcanizing tape and tape it all up. The harness inst close enough to the DP to catch fire. Many have done it this way with no problems like my self.

I like using the self vulcanizing tape because it withstands the engine bay heat and doesn't unravel like regular electrical tape. But make sure your wiring is correct and the car is running before finishing it off with that tape.

yea i agree with that. i would hate to have to undo the whole thing. i am probably gonna redo any wires that sloppy, cut or have multiple slices.

Reuse your factory plastic covers that run along back of firewall...You could also look into some of the products DEI sells......You can pick up the Cool Wrap tape at any auto parts store if you decide to go that route

lol there are so many good options but my main focus is the heat on the turbo side. i will probably go with something similar to the oem stuff after the head and use that raychem dr25 stuff vrank was talking about near the turbo.
