That doesnt look bad at all!
I really dont like the fake grill on the SC's tho. Considered removing it or blacking it out but then it would look out of place just removed.
Would be different if it really did what grils are supposed to do.

No I don't have a 97 front and have never held the grill that's why I phrased it as a question.
that seems dumb if its just closed in the back. Can't you just trim out the back plastic piece and make it "functional"
I have done much harder projects with a dremel in like 10 minutes. I need to get one of those grills to see I guess.
only thing I can think of is if the crash bar is directly behind that spot or not, then it would get in the way but I think its clear behind there towards the top I will have to take a look at the car to see.

I see, well the grille itself is open but where it leads too is just plastic covering and no air is being directed towards the radiator. The sides are open tho maybe that will direct some air towards the intake and on the drivers side transmisson oil cooler. I believe the pre 97+ fronts are the same with that plastic covering except without the hole for the grille.
