Default Right back into an SC with a 96 300, fresh pickup

So back in may i had a wreck in my SC i had for literally less than a month and after searching i was able to get another one 2 years newer and 10k miles less for $2900 let me know what you guys think it is a 2 owner car me being the 3rd and the only setbacks is a slight hesitation after 80mph and the steering is a little stiff besides that its a virgin stocker.

my previous sc's wreck https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...houghts-2.html

That is one clean car, nice find. Be sure to get the maintanance record and do all the needed work. Change all fluids, belts and spark plugs just to be on the safe side.
Good luck and have fun with the new ride.

My dad has worked on fiero F40 replica's all his life and he knows a good deal of car and when i saw this car advertised by an older accountant had it for 4k i talked him down to 2,900 and even a bill of sale of 750 for less taxes. I found it on craigslist after seeing beater after beater and twin turbos i feel better about a car that has had nothing done to it and i can take a crack at myself. My mechanical and electrical knowledge is pretty much extremely basic i dont think i could remove the exhaust manifold but i want to get into it and eventually paint and turbo this car. Im addicted to these cars its such a sporty feel and grips the road, yet rides so smooth even on stock suspension,

When you do the cap and rotor it's all rather straight forward.

Take a picture of the rotor before you un-screw the two screws holding it in to the distributor. Also take a felt marker or something that can make a mark and make a mark on either the distributor plate or the back of the distributor itself (or better yet both) showing how the rotor was aligned.

Honestly though, if you don't spin the distributor when you remove the rotor there are only tow ways it can go on due to the holes for the mounting screws. Either the same way it came out or reversed. So it's pretty easy to put it right back in the same spot... now replacing the entire distributor on the other hand is a bit more tricky and where the felt marker will come in handy.

Anyways, just make sure u know which wire goes to which spot on the dizzy cap, and make sure you know which orientation the rotor goes in and you'll be fine. It's really just a 15 minute job.
