Hey everyone!

Hope somebody can share a link to a printable DIY for an alternator replacement on a 98 SC400. I have to do it tonight and need to know what specialty tools i may need along with a detailed general DIY.. if that makes sense. I def have the ability to do it, but haven't attempted anything like this on the car yet...

i had a chance to read a couple threads and it looks like the S-belt, PS pump & pulley... but cant afford to tear it apart and not be able to get it back together...

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure all you need are sockets, and screwdrivers.

If its anything like the sc300, its very easy. Good luck man, be careful, grab some cones and reflective things to place so its very obvious that you are there working.
