Thumbs up 36K mile Sc300 on Craigslist in NY 10.5K

Just a heads up, there is a 36K mile Sc on Craigslist in NY (Long Island) for 10K. I am just posting this as a public service for our members because it's the lowest I have ever seen (I just purchased the lowest 5 speed), and I'd love to see it go to a member.

Links aren't preferred by the mods...

Anyways, I wouldn't want to buy a low mile SC like that because if the SC just sits all of its life, the gaskets and seals and the rest of it are going to be crispy dry. A car needs to be used. THat's why I go for the Lexus cars with higher mileage.

that would make a great parts car since the exterior is so clean and so is the interior...
but it probably needs tons of work to get it streetable again.
all those old fluids...
that old timing belt...
pretty much everything needs to get replaced

With miles that low, the pictures might as well have been lifted from a sales brochure! Which gives me an idea for some craigslist fun...

For that price , I wonder how long that SC300 will be in a FOR SALE Ad.... 2 years or more ? Heck , my hats off to anyone who buys it at that price. He should be a real STOCK SC300 fanatic.

Haha "niche hard to find cars" .. Please, this is thee most common color combo and a 90's Lexus isn't exactly rare.... It's my twin. But none the less, very clean car, hopefully he sells it for something over 6k.

Hah, at that rate it'll be a 36k mile, 36 year old car by the time it sells!

I'd love to have one of these sitting in a garage just to look at.

you could just change out all the fluids and throw a timing belt on there, but at the price its at who would want to do that. Studio if you have to write in there for mods to remove it then clearly you already know you aren't supposed to so just remove it, you do know mods have a delete thread button that takes much less clicks than to edit your post then copy and paste the description from the ad and then add some pictures, so I will let you do it if you want everyone to see it =)

Wow. What a car. Why is everyone so negative about this car. How does anyone know if all that hasn't been done. Having low miles doesn't make it a bad thing if it was cared for properly. I would be willing to pay 8500 for something as nice as that. There are so many of these cars beat up out there.

Little old lady only drove it on Sunday's. First time you take it to a buck 20 there'll be SC parts all over the road. you'd have to break it in easy, just like a new car& train it properly.

I agree, a real collector knows how to treat a car......
If it was a 5 speed, I'd have snagged it pending a discussion with the owner about how it was treated and maintained to prevent rubber rot etc.
