Can anyone tell me what the little vent around the ignition key is?

Behind the little vent is the cabin temp sensor for Climate Control operation, the A/C system uses this in conjunction with the external temp sensor (in front air intake) and solar sensor (mounted in the top of the dash) to regulate the A/C.

If you unplug or break that sensor, your A/C unit leaves the HEAT on full time/ full blast until you turn the **** all the way to COLD.

better yet, if you don't have a lot of patience or a small hand, getting it back in the dash (with the screw that holds it mind you) is just not fun.

Haha...worse is getting the venting hose attached to the rear port while holding onto the dash piece and the wire clip.
