I asked one of the eBay sellers about their gloss black vinyl wrap and it's only rated for 4-5 yrs of outdoor use, and only water resistant at that. The 3M stuff should last twice as long and hold up to rain. So, if considering vinyl wrap, make sure you're getting stuff durable enough to be worth the trouble.

This 3M stuff is supposedly rated for automotive use and carries 12 years of UV protection. I hope it holds up.

I wrapped mine with matte black. It looks lots better than oxidated stock one.

ebay CF wrap. mine was chipping and peeling, didn't feel like repainting it so did this. holding up great and i didn't even take it off. just tucked the excess behind little crevices.

I used a combination of wet sanding and a putty knife to scrape the old paint off. The putty knife was the more effective of the two.
