Default Hardtop lexus sc300

How rare are they i myself haven't seen any here in cali . But i recently picked one up with a blown headgasket still starts up will be performing surgery soon gte hg and arp heads and valve job and such will be performed and 5 speed swap and boost . Will be selling my factory 5 speed soon as well sad to say but i could use the funds . Besides i picked up the hardtop with 140k miles clean dwp paint and clean title for 500 bucks

Nice find! I can't remember seeing a hardtop SC once regardless of the transmission type. They're rare enough but I don't believe there are any hard numbers for them.

I've only seen pics of one. Would love to find a hard top 5 speed in need of work for cheap.

Yea i seen plenty of 5 speeds in cali so when i seen it i instantly got on it first chance i had . I will try to upload pictures my phone is not letting me i will try to upload from another phone

Right same here now i own one . And its perfect because in my other sc my head gets pretty close to the roof and in the hardtop it was so much more room

There was a gold SC300 with a hardtop for sale here in So. In. 5 yrs. or so ago. it was an auto. I love the hardtop look so much I had mine converted. Welcome to the hardtop club. Never seen any statistics either.

Hardtops are pretty rare. I miss mine, I was rear ended and it was totaled around this time last year. RIP




Have had 3 SC's and the hardtop felt and looked sportier in my opinion but congrats, nice find.

Yea ive owned a few scs and never a hardtop. Im pretty happy with it . Its all stock so alot of room to upgrade parts

Thanks im happy with the find also im the second owner cant wait to start wrenching on it but first buying parts and since head will be off might as well do everything now instead of doing twice

97 5 speed hard top in classic green pearl. Supah rare ..

But aren't hard tops just rare because nobody wanted a luxury car without a sunroof in the 90s?
