In my sc3 5spd at 65 I'm around 2700 so I'm kinda amazed how king philip is around there at 80 in his old 400 o.O, TBH I'd say 3k sounds about right tbh at 80 w/ 3.916:1 gearing

Sir I have a 5 speed SC300 now, and I can tell you it's world apart from the SC400.

Yep, SC300 revs high at highway speeds. It might sound dumb, but I'd love to go r154, NA-T, and LSD just for lower highway RPM's. The extra power would be nice too lol.
I'm bone stock 93 SC 400 with 157k and at about 2500rpms. You sure your OD is engaged?
Positive. It just seems a little high, like it should be shifting into another gear with lower rpms.
The only current sign i'm having at the moment right now, that is directing me to the ECU, is the hard starting issue that this car is known for. It has never not started, but some mornings it acts like the battery is almost dead. But it starts every time.
