Talking PICS! My '95 to '97+ Conversion

Here are some pics of my recently (finally) completed 97+ conversion.

Let me know what you think.

Note... I left the original spoiler because I prefer the more subtle look than the newer style spoiler.

I also included a pic of the interior... It is black, which is rare I think? I know some have mentioned on the forum they have not seen one. I am thinking about doing the seats in natural brown leather from Leather Seats. Anyone tried this on a black interior? I think it might be a nice contrast... or look really cheezy. Not sure.

Looks great. I love that paint.
Next step is to lower it and get some nice wheels.
Or you could just keep it stock if you prefer it that way.

Thanks...

Yea, new wheels may be in the works... Although I do like the stock wheels, they do not quite fill in the wheel openings.

As for the paint... I am very pleased with it. The paint is the factory Renaissance Red... Let's hear it for Lexus paint quality! I paid a little extra to have the 97+ parts painted to factory spec... Many steps in the process, but worth it though. They turned out just as shiny as the factory paint.

Wow, those are nice pics. Props on the digicam. And of course that conversion looks beautiful. You have me sold on it! Where did you buy Renaissance Red factory paint? The color is brilliant. I didn't know you could buy factory paint. How much was the whole paint job?

Was your interior black stock?
I thought 96 was the first black interior year.

That red is amazing!

What settings did you use to take pictures of your car? They really bring out more shine in your paint!

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

I think the total I paid for the complete upgrade was just shy of $2500. But that also includes replacing the front headlights. The old green tinted ones had to go.

I did some research and the '95 model was the first year with the black interior as an option.

The camera is a Sony DSC F707. But some of the credit for the quality of the reflections also goes to the 5 step Maguires professional wax! hehe
