Default 97 SC3 needs a replacement keyless remote...odd fcc id

Hey gents, recently picked up a 97 SC3 and am in the process of restoring its beauty and function. I know the standard procedure of matching the fcc id on the remote to the unit in the car, but I can't find anything on this particular fcc id. Can I swap the unit inside the car to find a marching remote or can I just reprogram a remote to the unit I have? Thanks in advance

Thats a receiver for a Canadian car. My old 96 had a VIN that was made for Canada. I just swapped that box into my 95 (with a simple wire switch on 1 pin) to use the remote that I already have for the 96.

I'm actually going to write up a DIY post on retrofitting the 96 setup with a remote into a 95 that has a button on the key.

Needless to say, the remote FCCID will be HYQWDT-C. I have programmed this remote to that FCCID that you have successfully.

I didn't want to have to buy a $160 key and program to my old 95 setup.

I look forward to it dude. The 97 uses a key fob instead of the button key though...should I just search for this box out of a US vehicle?
