Default this sound like a air/ fuel problem.

Last night my check engine light came on. When I would accelerate it go off. But after awhile if I did not give it enough gas the car would cut off but turn right back on. The car was not running as smooth and swift as normal but no definitely something when I did not accelerate enough. Was thinking maybe my fuel filter or mass air flow sensor. Where do I start?

Check your rubber hose that goes to the throttle body. Maybe it's cracked?

will do. Was just thinking of changing out both fuel filters, cleaning out the throttlebody, and putting some fuel injection cleaner in the tank but will check that too.
