Shine Auto Project Front Bumper for SC300 need work?
I'm going to purchasing a Shine Front Bumper for my 98 Lexus SC300, while driving home a cat ran infront of me and probably hit it at 30mph. Bumper is flexed cracked. Have a couple of questions..
Is it direct bolt on no modifications?
Do I need to do body work on the Shine Front Bumper?
I need to know because I'm in need of a front bumper and Lexus price for me is $480 new from the dealership.
Shine's Front Bumper comes out to be $671.00 shipped with CA tax.
Trying to save a little money, because having the new bumper painted to match the car will probably be $400-$500.
Was told by a autobody and paint that they needed to paint the fenders and hood to bend any front bumper to match the current paint.

That body shop is FOS. If your paint is OEM and not a respray, they should be able to match spot-on if their name is worth anything. The possible variances between shades even if they are a little off is negligible because the body lines will blur those
The SHINE bumper is a terrific fit with little to no mods BUT BUT BUT will look weird as it will hang lower than the oem skirts-97-00 (or not, 92-95) on your car.
If you can get an oem bumper for less (from a person who has a SHINE kit) go OE unless you're gonna pop for the whole kit and lower door trim
G/L.

Awesome, thanks!
Might just grab the full kit in person (5-6 hours drive) for me. I need to see it in person. Hope they have a full kit in stock. Going to call ahead prior to leaving to make sure. Don't want to turn around my Tundra V8 half way there

pretty crazy paying that for a fiberglass item that won't hold up nearly as good as polyurethane.
with all aftermarket fiberglass kits, they all require a little body work to get it to fit right.
this one will be minimal though.
