Temp. and Changer.

Temp. and Changer.
I wasn't getting any response in the electornics forum, so here you go again...
I have a nakamichi system in my 94 sc400.
The thing is that the CD changer's functionality depends on the surrounding temperature.
It works when the weather is cold below freezing point. Any time the weather gets warm above freezing point, the CD changer doesn't work. Whenever I change to next CD, it goes through the entire catridge and doesn't pick up any of the 12 cds...and finally displays "ERR" on my head unit.
What could be the problem????
I don't want winter to be the only season when I can listen to music in my car.
One more problem.
When I turn on the signal light. My AC display blinks along with the signal light.
What's up with that?

Some electronic parts work better under cold than hot, and vice versa. silicone is affected by cold, capacitors are affected by heat. one of your board components in the changer is failing. As the electronics get progressively older, the capacitors dry out and the silicone ages. From a tech standpoint, it is perfectly normal with age. you just need to have the changer serviced and have the defective, aged component on the board replaced.
and the blinking shows your alternator is going out, you are losing voltage and the load of the blinker is dragging the alt down. time for a rebuild. but just to be sure, check your ground wires on the battery and the chassis first.

Thank you for your advice, onelasttry.
Do you know of any place I can send my CD changer in and have it serviced? Or can this be done at any audio shop? There is almost no quality car audio shop around here.
And CEO.
CD cleaner? I mean the changer reads the CDs fine as long as I don't change to the next cd in the next slot. It just doesn't recognize that th catridge is full of CDs and goes through all 12 slots without loading one.

I sent mine here http://carstereohelp.com/lexus.htm. He was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to fix my changer and sent it back to me at no charge.
