Well I went out to Firebird Raceway tonight here in AZ and was able to run quite a few runs. Only thing to keep in mind is that I have a bone stock 5 speed SC300 and the track is somewhere around 1100 feet elevation. My best run is as follows:
60': 2.358
1/4: 15.891
MPH: 88.82
Obviously there are those on this board that are convinced that a stock 5 speed should be hitting high 14's, and those that do not. My concerns aren't really about the overall E/T, but my 60' and trap speed. What is a good 60 foot for a bone stock 5 speed (including stock 16's with 225's)?
What could possibly account for everyone saying that the MPH should be 90-92, yet I'm just under 89 (with my average being in the 87's)?
What kind of tire pressure are all of you stock SC's running?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
Aaron

Torque convertor isn't an option seeing as how I'm 5 speed, not auto, and reducing weight really isn't an option because I bought a Lexus for the sake of having a Lexus, if I wanted something tubbed I'd buy an old piece of crap.
The reaction time shouldn't make a difference either as I was not doing bracket racing...I should be able to sit at the line for 30 seconds after the green light and still get the same time...but for an FYI I was getting .1's and .2's usually. I was getting some tire spin when I launched around 2700-3000 rpm but not too much, I had the tire pressure at 32lbs and did a pretty descent tire burn everytime in staging. It would be nice to have some 265's or 275's in the back, then I'm sure I could launch at 3500 rpm's without any troubles or tire spin.
What are you other 5speeds getting for your 60'? That's my biggest concern to get my times down. My other concern is what kind of things I should look at to get my mph up to the 90-92 mph range that people are quoting...my car only has 27k miles so the ignition system should be pretty clean...
How much of an affect is the 1100-1200 foot elevation going to have on my times?
