Unhappy Help me make up my mind...

Well by the end of summer i should have some money to push around. And of course its going straight into the SC!!!! Im thinking of some where Between 3-4.25 g's. And I was woundering what I should do with that money considering my car is an auto and is BONE STOCK besides a k&n filter!!!! Here is what Im contemplating and if you have any other suggestions feel free to blurt them out ( this might help some of us new SC300 owners start off on the right foot for modding)

1. Body kit
2. Dual exhaust
3. 2jz-gte drop
4. turbo on stock engine??? possible???
5. rims and drop
6. Canover kit

Here is my car

1. Body kit
2. Dual exhaust
3. 2jz-gte drop
4. turbo on stock engine??? possible???
5. rims and drop
6. Canover kit

1. i wouldnt put a body kit on it with those wheels.
2. good looks and performance both.
3. too much more that can be done right now.
4. maybe.
5. always a good idea.
6. given number 2 and 5...no.

Depends what you want. Power or looks. If looks then get the wheels and build your way up. If power, then go turbo!

A spoiler from the 92-94 body style would look very nice.

I would do it in this order until I ran out of cash...

1) '92-'96 Factory Rear Spoiler (or a excellent aftermarket one...don't get a cheap one, you'll regret it...unless you like wavy spoilers....)

2) Coilovers - personally, I would recommend either the JIC SF-1 or the Tein CS (both are about the same price...)

3) Wheels and Tires - Many ways to go here.

4) Front STB - JIC, Cusco, and others...they're not expensive so why not?...around $150 or so...

5) Body Kit and Exhaust - I'd do both at the same time since you want to make sure the exhaust you put on will look ok with the body kit (ie: doesn't stick in or out too much, the tip is big enough or small enough, etc., etc...) Honesly, in most cases, an axle back exhaust (right at the first flange and make sure they flange the new ones if they aren't flanged so you can remove it and put the stock ones back on if necessary) is good enough...you can get nearly any universal tip and have a muffler shop put it on for like $50 or less...(the cost of the universal tips can be from like $130 to $400 EACH depending on what you get)...no need to worry about performance here, you're not going to get much unless you start doing serious engine work...

6) Engine work...only because $4.25K isn't really enough to do real speed mods to the car...if you want to do a 2JZ-GTE swap, it's going probably cost you around $6K+ (unless you can find a engine, harness, and ecu for free or dirt cheap and you have a shop that actually knows what they're doing...that's harder to find!)...and if you're going to here, you need to get a real "replace everything from the header back" type exhaust system and maybe even a performance cat (and that might be a moot point...)...even just doing a add-on turbo is going to cost you at LEAST $4K just for the parts (FMAX) and then you need labor...plus money for other misc. parts you might need....and I would also factor in a full exhaust system also...

I'm actually in the process of doing a completely write-up on the complete build-up of my SC400 from granny bone stock (bought the car of some seniors...that's why I say "granny") to something more up my alley...you might want to check that out before you start...might give you some ideas...it'll have the entire process I went through with tons of pictures and even individual reviews of most of the product that went on the car....should be done within a month...project started in April of 2002...

Here's a link to a little preview of what I'm doing...
