purchasing a 92' sc300 with 2jzgte swap questions?
I have owned a couple of sc300 ' s in the past but they were stock and last year I sold my 95 supra Na to gte swap car. I'm now looking to get another fun car with great potential but I don't have supra money as I just bought a house.
I ran across a deal locally and I'd like to get feedback from you guys on my thought to make sure I'm not crazy and asking the right questions. Based on my knowledge I gained from my supra swap, it seems like a good deal.
the car is a 92' sc300 with 120,000 miles originally a 5speed car. It was gte swapped with no modifications besides usdm twins, aem v2, r154, and TRD lsd. I'm sure there are other supporting modifications (exhaust, boost controller etc) but I haven't gone that far in detail yet. The car is driveable but needs a clutch (it currently has an rps clutch).
I know the parts list is good and money has been spent on it. My first question is if the car is in excellent condition. Needing a clutch what would you pay for it?
My second question was this, I'm thinking about selling the aem v2, r154, TRD Diff and going back to the stock auto ecu, diff, and w58. I already have to pull the transmission so it's a good time to do it. I'm thinking about doing this bc I don't plan on exceeding 400hp. I ran my supra with 475whp on the w58 and stock Na diff for 2 years. I'd like to recoup some money and run the setup stock if all goes well. What would a good quick resale of those parts go?
