1gen sc with 95 tails help!!!
I have a 1gen sc300 I recently. Bought 95 taillights for the car. I took out my old tails and replace them with the 95 tails. It was plug and play, but when I turn on the lights the driver. Side only lit up. Also when I use the turn signals the driver side reverse light would blink instead. Does anyone the what the problem could be. When I step on the brake both lights work perfectly though. I dont have a 95-96 lamp failure module. Could that be the problem, or our the blubs bad and need replacing. I also get the hyper blink which I understand. That part, any help would be appreciated

I've seen it stated both ways, e.g.:

I'm inclined to think that the latter is correct, and that the failure module must be disabled. Bummer.

You may want to review this thread and check the bulbs in your tail light assemblies to make sure they are the correct ones:

Thanks for the link, I hadn't seen that thread. I replaced three of the bulbs with #194's I had bought from Sewell a while back, thinking those were correct. I may have a mix of bulbs that look the same but draw different current...
I also ordered a big bag of #194/168 bulbs now that I'm almost out. Maybe I'll be in luck swapping them all out for these new ones if they are indeed at #168 specs, per the comments in your '05 thread? #168, 192, and 194 are all listed as interchangeable parts, along with a couple dozen others.
Are you sure that info pertains to '95-96 tails on a '92-94, as opposed to just being general '95-96 info? I guess if it works with all #168's, I can pick up some #192's to swap in.

The second link you posted (http://soarerrestorer.wix.com/soarer...mon-mods/c248u) indicated that 94-96 are all Series 2 type and should all have the same tail light wire looms. If you have a 94 and are using 95 tail light assembles and a 95 tail light failure warning sensor, it seems your vehicle should be setup like a 95 would normally be. I'm not sure if the information I provided will help address the problem in the original post but it may help you to address the problem you have.

Well, I swapped out all six of the bulbs for a matching set and the dash indicator still lights up. However, I don't know if they're 168 or 194 bulbs, so that still doesn't rule out that it could work with 168s or 192s. My guess is it won't make a difference, though, and I'll have to choose between removing the indicator light and modifying the failure module. Either way, I lose the dash indicator of burned out bulbs. Sigh.
