ok here is a trick that might work...but i will just delay the process...my light just started to flicker...on the Spedo...i turned the brightness down to just before the click on for full illumination....and i keep the headlights always on...like they are day timers....the burned section lights back up and you cant even tell that it was ever blown...the lights dont flicker or fade at all once i keep it there....so that says that the voltage has some thing to do with it....as you guys were discussion before...how ever im not sure how long its gonna last...but i do know that low beam bulbs are much cheaper than clusters...lol

So at this point, what are known solutions that really work? My speedo needle is out and being a low tech guy, I don't feel comfortable digging into the cluster myself. To have this fixed is gonna cost how much??? (I've seen links to Lexusdash but they are not up and running.... still). Maybe I just have to live with it....any suggestions? Thanks

Wow this is old, those pics have been gone for a long time. As far as doing it yourself, i sent a few guys D.I.Y. kits and they came back mangled. NO, it really can't be done by the average enthusiast.
Nice to see i don't have to eat my own words when we first started this long ago.
over 50 clusters later, everything was proven correct in time.
when the needle flickers within itself , but the rest of the needle fires correctly, it shows a problem with the connection. there are multiple tracers on the head of the cylinder the needle sits on.

OLT, a very simple question regarding this exhaustive subject.
I have a 95, with 60K. No problems in the clusters at all. But, I LOVE the setting on "High". Does having the switch on high versus the spot right before the "click" increase my chances of losing the cluster/needle lights quicker??
It is referenced by several, but at the same time I read that the related heat from the high setting isn't a factor. So, your expertise is greatly appreciated, I would rather dim it a bit and save the hassle later.
Thanks a lot.

I'm almost positive on this, if anyone cares to elaborate or fix what I said, feel free.
