How much did you pay for your SC?

I'll give it a shot.
1. In what year did you buy your SC?2014
2. What year is your SC? 2000
3. Roughly how many miles did the SC have when you bought it? 158,000 Miles.
4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)? Yes. Most imperfections were cosmetic (Gash on the Quarter panel, faded paint and B pillar) and it runs like a dream. Engine was remarkably clean for how many miles it has. Only significant problems were that the tires were getting a bit bald, and the passenger door only opened from inside, but both were simple fixes.
5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC? $3,500 for the purchase, a few more for registration and whatnot. Negotiated down from 3900.

3. Roughly how many miles did the SC have when you bought it? 68,400
4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)? I am extremely **** when it comes to cars and the SC 300 had to be perfect. I searched for around a year and got extremely lucky when this FL car went on sale about 2.5 hours away. The car was as advertised-single owner, complete maintenance records and maintained at Performance Lexus in Naples. Car had no visible defects aside from a couple dings that were easily removed with PDR work. Paint is 9.5/10, no chips in the front bumper, etc. Engine looks new and runs wonderfully. Trans shifts smooth., etc. Interior still smells new and the leather is in wonderful condition. It is a cream puff.
5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC? $8000.00. More than most, but I am willing to pay more for the right car and this one was right.

2. What year is your SC? 1992 SC300 5spd
3. Roughly how many miles did the SC have when you bought it? 172K
4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)? Think for a 5spd I got a great deal even though cosmetically it was in horrible shape. Ive slowly been rebuilding and haven't driven more than a few hundred miles and now its in the shop have everything fixed.
5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC? $1,000 but Ive had the seats recovered, timing belt, water pump and tune up and megan coilovers are probably another 2k and then I traded my sc400 for a set of 18x8 225/40/18 front and 18x10 255/35/18 rears and all the labor on the car so I think I got a great deal.

4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)? Just got it this week rear main leaking, differential leaking, no rear defrost, newer leather seats, new timing belt, water pump. It's just a car to kick around in if it lasts a year I'll be happy. Needs paint not sure how money I spend on it.

4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)? I think it was a great deal. People buy beater cars for similar money and they pour thousands into them to keep them going as they frequently have problems. The LCAs went out about 2 years after purchase and that was the most expensive repair at $700+ in parts. I redid the front end with OEM struts, bushings, end links, etc as well. A DIY service with all OEM parts cost over $1100 in parts but I did major parts replacement to not have to worry about it. Pretty much every rubber hose/line was replaced including the stock air ducting to the intake. A set of Michelin tires 4 years in cost $850. I drove to cross country once and it was flawless. It left me stuck on the road only once when the starter went out. It's on the 2nd battery with me; about $120 each time. Next up are rear shocks but for the next 55K miles it just needs gas and oil. The radiator will probably fail in this car before my next major service but that's plastic tank radiators in any car.
5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC? $5K
