My 92 SC3 gets awsome gas milage too, i can get 350+ out of it on the hwy. Thats light years better than my 20g powered eclipse GSX that got about 15mpg. Yesterday i drove from the east coast of florida (melbourne) to the west coast (tampa) and back and still had a 1/4 tank, thats about 300 miles round trip, plus i drove around in tampa for a bit on the same tank. Awsome!

I have a 255lph fuel pump with no fuel control. just to test things out I thrashed the car with PWR on and O/D off the whole time driving like maniac (had chances to put the supra brakes to the test) I just got 176 miles out of 18.xxx gallons. can I say hmmmm running rich??? I've got to pick me up that AFC and FMU.
With totally normal driving with the new fuel pump i've got 340miles on 18.xxx gallons. Leaning it out (-5%)with AFC should get me over 400miles on 18.xxx gallons easy.

that's excellent......but very hard to believe.....wonder if your meter is slightly faulty?
since i have brought my soarer 4ltr ltd uzz31 from the uk to dallas i too have noticed an increase, from 300
too about 350+ i think it's to do with the climate + road networks. im not in as many traffic jams.
Ive also noticed the car is alot more lively-------strange?
wonder if your tom thumb petrol is better than r uk petrol?

nah my gauges are fine....cause the read out is digital....and if my gas guage was faulty..... well....i would have been stuck on the side of the road cause i was hundreds of miles from home..so im pretty sure that everything is ok...but i dont think that the 92 octane or 94 octane gas made my car go an extra 80 miles..

congrats ceo
on my 92 sc300, with 84K miles on it, bone stock car
i get about 435-440 before my orange light comes on, and i usually fill up with about 17 to 17.6 gallons
i have never filled up with 19 gallons (even though i know it is a 20 gallon tank)
so do you let your orange light to stay on a long time, if you fill it up at 19 gallons?
cuz my orange comes on at about 17 gallons

hmmm thats really weird
i drove mine 407 miles, orange light came on, drove till 437, and filled up with 17.6 gallons
i wonder if there a diff between the 300s and 400s tank
cuz according to my math i should have about 2.5 gallons more, so i could have gone 62.5 miles more
so 30+62.5
i should be able to go about 92 miles, give or take, after the orange light comes on

ryan you have a V6 i have a V8....im always gonna use more gas....our tanks are exactly the same size...you just get better mileage....like you are supposed to....

very true i just dont push it i always use as a rule of thumb 40 miles when the light come on however i have been 55 miles before..and that was city....on the freeway i can probably go 75 to 80 miles more..but i just get this feeling and i hurry my butt to the gas station ASAP.....but one day im gonna get a 5 gallon tank and drive it till it is dry.....just to see what the max is cause im sure that we can get very close to 500 maybe more...on 1 tank.
