burnt orange SCs?
#16
The CF doors on that 350Z paint job highlight the difficulty in doing a two-tone scheme on the SC, with how the roof/C-pillar/quarter panel all flow together, and ditto for the hood/A-pillar/door trim. There aren't really any natural lines to differentiate sections. A black roof would almost have to have a black hood, otherwise that hood/A-pillar line would look really clunky.
Any thoughts (FSUsucks1? ) on whether burnt orange would attract as much attention as red from those people you don't want noticing you?

I saw a burnt orange Dodge Caravan today and am seriously, seriously scarred.
I also saw a new Corvette in that color last week, and while quite attractive, I felt the color actually lessened its appeal. I think it's a color that needs a fair amount of black trim work to offset it, like the fender flares and bumpers on trucks. I.e., aspects not well suited to the SC.

Agreed about it taking the right car. I think a rally-style car could pull it off, with fender flares, mud flaps, grill lights, etc. As for stock color palettes, that probably won't happen... I'm in the middle of a driveway repaint of the trunk and spoiler, anything but stock -- BBQ black! Toying with different ideas and figured this would be a good starting point. Likely will do the raised center section of the hood to match. Then just need to decide what direction to go with the rest of the car.
