97+ High beam city lights
I don't know why, but I see a high volume of adult driven, factory 97+ SC's with high beams on all the time. I don't see many SC's daily, but I at least cross paths with a 97 weekly. Every time I see a "true" 97+, the high beams are on like they're city bulbs. Am I crazy? Do the high beams light up with daytime running lamps or something on 97's? I can't drive around with the high beam level indicator stick pulled back during an entire car trip.
With that said, I think our cars look great the high beams as city bulbs. I use to own an '98 E-Class Mercedes with a similar light setup and I really enjoyed that style. Has anyone converted their high beams to city bulbs, while remaining the active high beam function? My thought is to drill a small hole in the high beam projector somewhere and extending the city bulb wire from the main headlights.
Of course, you're talking to the guy who hasn't fixed their passenger fog light bulb in six years lol.

Speaking of Mercedes, their dual-round headlight setup is a classic design. Having our highs light up with the lows might produce a similar visual effect, albeit at night.
Would you put a dimmer bulb in the highs? Otherwise, it would be somewhat dangerous to oncoming traffic and likely illegal. But if you put dimmer bulbs in, are you willing to forgo the extra brightness of high beams when needed?

HaHa I did the city light mod in my high beams on my 96 SC300. I used a HID SPDT type relay and wired the trigger lead a circuit which provides 12 volts when the car is running. I replaced the halogen 9005 bulbs with LED 6K ones. It looks good and not too bright to blind oncoming drivers. Of course you will loose the high beam function so I fixed that by retrofitting Bi Xenon Morimoto Mini H1 projectors in my headlights.
