Default A/C leak?

My new SC300 with a 2JZ-GTE swap is blowing ambient temp air when the A/C is on. I tried putting fresh refrigerant into the low-side fill port (by the passenger firewall) but when I put it in, the revs jumped up from about 1100 RPM (normal idle at the moment from the tune) to like 1600 or 1700 and I could hear something leaking out by the driver's side firewall.

Any hints or tips on hunting this down?

Default a/c leak

i actually just fixed a lean on my 300. the O ring was busted on the driver side. take off the plastic cover under the engine both by the bumper and further back. if you have a blue light shine it under there you should see bright yellow liquid leaking. if you can hear it you should see it. also shine it from the top of the engine bay see if you can see it that way. but its bright yellow.

on my 1993 sc400 the "drier" canister is in that area as well as a high pressure relief valve and the "radiator" for the a/c system. there is a lot of areas in this setup that could have a loose fitting or a hole in something. you will see oil where it is leaking since there is oil in the coolant to keep the compressor lubed. they say not to add coolant with stop leak, but i don't know if that was written buy a a/c repair guy that wants to keep people coming to him. there are rubber 0-rings on everything in your car and they will all dry out and fail (look what an o-ring did to the space shuttle). so you could see if the leak is something you can tighten up or a part that needs to be repaired or replaced and go from there.
