Finally back 1997 dwp sc300 factory 5 speed. Factory bbs vs aftermarket
Finally got back into my dream car this one being the best of all owned.
Debating leaving the factory bbs wheels and refinishing them to original.
Or
Paint or polishing them.
Or
Go with something aftermarket.

If you want a stock-ish look just go with some TT wheels or Lexus OEM wheels off a different model like the IS-F.
I would not refinish these simply because the size is crappy on them unless you prefer a stock/soft/mushy ride then by all means get these refinished.

They're awesome wheels, kinda rare too. They just don't look right on your car. On a black or red SC with gold emblems they look great. I say sell them on here or craigslist and go aftermarket.

DO NOT SELL THEM. Keep them as winter wheels if she's going to be your daily. It's hard to find a good stomp-around set of wheels. They look odd to everyone because there's too much sidewall on the tires. These cars' profile suits a big-faced wheel, 18s at least.

Honestly I've only seen one set for sale and they were chewed up bad, the asking price was $200 and I don't think they ever sold because of the condition they were in. I would imagine $500-$600 for a good clean set with good tires. Depends on the buyer, someone looking to restore might pay more, but just a regular looking for that stock feel prob wouldn't go higher then $500.

I gotta be the naysayer here... Is anyone really doing a SC restoration down to the undersized, original wheels? If so, I've yet to hear of it. The value just isn't there. Maybe if you hold onto them for another 20 years and the car becomes the classic we all hope...
My guess is $300 if you're lucky, and patient. That puts you in the range of IS and GS wheels, which most people wanting the factory look will opt for first. "Factory BBS" does get people excited in general, but the trick is to keep them from seeing what they look like on the car, in this case.

To offer something a bit more productive or at least positive, your best bet might be to sell them as singles. If there is anyone out there rocking the rare factory BBS look, your real value is in replacing limited availability damaged wheels. Again, though, that's a matter of patience.
