Sorry ahead of time if im posting in the wrong area. First time.

So.... I got a 1994 SC300 for practually nothing. The person i got it from was a mechanic he told me it had a bad ecu. so i pulled the ECU to possibly find another one. WELL.. the label is unreadable GO FIGURE. So i opened her up to find a few blown caps. My main worry is the part of the label i can read SAYS 2jzge good sign, but once opened i found it has 8 Capacitors. I was under the assumption that the SC300 only had 7Capacitors.

Can i get some input please??

I have a ecu out of a sc300 with 2jzge sticker but it has 8 caps instead of 7 caps. How many capacitors should a sc300 have?

The 2JZGE M/T ECU has 7 capacitors, FYI. I have one sitting right in front of me. Welcome to ClubLexus

Sorry not trying to be rude. Thanks for the response. Super frustrated with this ecu. And now every is responding with a answer after you rip me a new one. Thx for the response fellas.

So people are saying 7. Why does my 2hz ecu have 8?

Thanks for the response. Does the AT ecu have 7 caps too? Mine is labelled as a 2jzge ecu but has 8 caps.

I don't know the answer to your question but if you want a good reputable person to rebuilt the ECU for you there is Tanim Auto Electronix.

He is a member on here and an authorized vendor.
