Replacing Stock Fan to Electric Fan
#16
to delete the hydro fan and run efans you should pick up a ls400 clutch fan bracket, then you don't have to worry about the hydro lines anymore. you can also just bolt on the ls400 clutch fan bracket and a conventional clutch fan like the ls400 has. going electric does save space on a performance type build but I am a fan of a simple clutch fan on a stock like car.

[QUOTE=gerrb;9091240]You are welcome buddy ! Just trying to help .
Nick - you or a friend of yours should be able to do that with the diagrams I laid out on that thread . Trust me , it is not hard. Feel free to send me a PM or post on that thread if you have questions. Just call my attention if I miss the thread with your questions.

you would have to get a custom belt to completely remove this, so what most people do is get the ls400 version which is an ordinary clutch fan bracket, so you can use the original accessory belt, and not have hydro lines sticking off of it anymore. You normally do this when installing electric fans on this engine and then you just leave the fan off of it, or you can even choose to bolt up the ls400 clutch fan to it, your choice.
this is a great thread to read on this topic

this is a side by side of the 2 brackets from that thread.

The IS300 dual fans are a great choice. But if you want to go even better, the dual fans from a 2nd Gen Aristo TT are slightly larger and pull more air. And if you're looking for a harness, DC controls sells the some of the best.

Can you elaborate a little more on the harness from DC controls? Maybe attach a link?
