Power steering sc300 vs sc400
Hey guys,
I was driving my bros sc400 the other day and I noticed that his steering wheel moves lighter then mine from my sc300. It has a better feel to it . Both are 1998. Is it supposed to feel different or is my power steering going bad?

Both cars have variable assist steering. Low assist at high speed and high assist at low speed. This can malfunction in several ways. Once my 400 was stuck on low speed (high assist), and my 300 was stuck on high speed (low assist) at the same time. I think the part on the rack responsible for this is called the EVO (electronically variable orifice). If that system malfunctions or PS system needs service, fluid or bleeding, steering will feel different between the cars.
