Just fixed my squeaky console.
I just fixed my annoyingly squeaky console. I have to take the blame - it started after I removed it to get to the Heater AC Display when I replaced the bulbs.
When I re-attached the console, it looked like one of the 3 upper clips had fallen through. I was in a hurry to get it back together so I pushed it back on.
Every little bump created that squeak. My wife tried to put pennies behind it, but that didn't help...
So I went and got a few of part number 90468-04177. I got them from the Lexus dealership since I couldn't find them on the parts fiche where I usually get my parts (autonation Gulf freeway toyota/lexus in TX.
Anyway, even though I got them from Lexus it looks like it's a Toyota part.
I put them in and no more squeaks.
Just posting in case someone's looking for the part number. They were about $1 or $2 or so each, maybe less.
I think I on a couple of them, the clip was there already. I realized this only after I jammed the new clip on top of the old, compressed one.
