Default Interesting uses for "scrap" pieces...

Knowing this is a highly resourceful and creative bunch, I was wondering what neat things people have done with leftover odds and ends. I thought I'd start this thread with one of my "leftover" projects.

After packing all sorts of sound deadening material every where it would fit (and some places it didn't want too ), I found I had some pieces left that were too small to do much with, but so big I hated to throw them out (what, *me* a packrat???). So, here's what I did with one piece of scrap...

How does that look at night? Would it come out to just a red blur? Take some night shots if you can...

It's the "high brake" light housing over the subwoofer. It's not blocking any speakers

It's very legible at night. I'll try to take some pics, but you have to be *very* fast to take your foot off the brake and get back to the camera before the brake lights go out!

Get someone else to push the brake lol or put a stick or something to hold down the brake and move the seat up to keep it in place or put a heavy book there. I'd really like to see a night and day picture or it on. As always you have very interesting and innovative projects.

you can get EL sheets and make glow designs...
I saw a car with a scrolling led sign on the inside window...
It said if you are reading this very very very long sentence, you are not paying attention to the road.

If I had a scrolling LED in my back window, I would be way too tempted to tell some of my favorite drivers what I think of them.

I was considering the same thing as soon as i saw this, but then.... on the way from work tonight... it happened, i saw a prelude with a paper 'H' on the brake light. I'm sorry man, but... I think the ricers got to your idea and already ruined it for the rest of us....

Well, have you seen the license tag of some guy with the Aristo? the numbers glow.
He also converted the LED headlights off a Infinity to fit the Aristo.
