Default Climate control LCD

I've seen the posts for the backlight bulb replacement on the climate control, but does anyone know the part number for the LCD itself, as mine is half blacked out. Can you even replace the LCD? Havent torn into it yet, so I dont know.
Thanks

replacement is possible, as with anything. but the cost will run you around $400 for a new lcd screen.

Default crude, yet effective.....

had the center bulb on the ac unit out, and i was like ok fine, i can live with it. then one
day another one went out while i was driving, and i was so pissed that i hit it, and voila,
both lights came on, and had no probs since then.......

don't take a bat to it or anything, but hey, it's worth a try.....

i was so pissed that i hit it, and voila,
it works for the loose connections, but it's also the quickest way to a bleeding black lcd i can think of. The screen is a sandwich of liquid crystal between two plates. the plates are sealed with 10 year old adhesive (nothing else, just adhesive) it only takes one smack to seperate the adhesive. be careful doing that. the bulbs are a cheap fix, the lcd is not!
