most of you guys with sc300s that dont have spoiler

when you got the OEM spoiler, did you get a full trunk?

i am not sure if people can match the pearl white color of my car

so i am thinking of getting a trunk with the spoiler on it

i was quoted 400 dollars

waht you all think?

or should i leave it spoilerless

Same deal with my SC300, but I got a wing from www.saika.com for
about $200 about 5 years ago, and the body shop was able to match to color perfectly.
Only thing now is you're gonna need new trunk support lifts, or a
nice bat to prop the trunk open.

If you go OEM wing, you're gonna pay big bucks. I was happy with aftermarket, but
OEM look......

Hmm... That doesn't even come close to making sense Ryan. Are you going to buy the rear quarters that match the trunk? If you cannot paint anything to match....then the trunk won't match the quarters...Then you will OF COURSE need the doors to match the quarters....and the front Quarters to match the doors....well heck...just sell yours and buy one with a wing. Otherwise, with that "buy the lid with the wing" theory will just make little to NO sense.

If your paint shop says, "We can't match that" then you need to find a real paint shop...

i just replied to this thread and it got deleted......hmm urgh

i will retype it:

i initially wanted just a spoiler...but then heard from people pearl white is hard to match

i also heard on the OEM spoiler i need new trunk struts

so i called a few junkyards....and they suggested just buynig a trunk that is ALREADY pearl white and ALREADY has a spoiler

this way i have the oem colored spoiler, and struts

all for 400

is that a good deal?

Welp,

NO...that makes NO SENSE. There is little chance the trunk will match your car. Unless of course the car is the same year, paint lot, painted the same day, sat in the shade or garage the same number of days and seeing the similar amount of rain, snow, heat, and care.

I currently have no spoiler and need to know if any suspension modifications are needed to account for the extra downward force?

Also, any suggestions on the two available spoilers from http://www.spoilerdepot.com/

Factory Style Non-Lighted Rear Lip Spoiler Item # 07121 or Factory Style Lighted Rear Wing FRP Itme # 07125

I like the Rear Wing model the best.

i like the lip spoiler more

and wow....factory painted option will only be 225

sounds like a great deal

but then installation....urgh
