Default Electric fan standard on '96 SC4?

Ok, some here say that you get 20-30 HP if you convert to electric fans. But what about the '96 (mine) that already have electric fans. Does that mean that I am actually getting the extra HP over the pre-96?

A mechanic told me that the fan on our cars is a hydrolic fan. Not electric.

Default HP gain....

I have a 92 300, and I read all this about 20 - 30 hp gain if you go electric fan(s), well I see all this talk but don't see anyone doing the walk ??? does anything have proof or anything more on this subject ?? I would do it in a heart beat if I knew I could get 15+ out of my car by doing this...............

Thanx for your time............

I believe the original post was in regards to an SC300. The SC400 uses a hydrolic fan and does not run off of the crank or a pulley therefore installing an electric fan would be a waste of time.

Sc400's have a hydraulic fan. Sc300's are all belt driven.
A set of flex-a-lite 210's can be had for a couple hundred dollars.
I'm installing mine tomorrow, keep an eye out for the post.
