Default adding freon to SC 300

at the risk of sounding REAL dumb, where in the hell is the low pressure fitting on this car? I must be blind not to see it.

HI,
if I remember right,
it should be along the passenger side near the fire wall.
You have to reach down to uncrew the cap. so it's not near the top.

What freon do our cars take anyway? I couldn't find it in the manual or on the car. I must be blind as well.

actually yeah thats exactly where it was, I was looking on the same side as the compressor was located, it was on the opposite side.

My 96 uses R-134A, I would think earlier years would prob. be R-12, the conversion is easy and cheap, should you decide to do it.
